As an artist I find inspiration in the minutiae around me, and am constantly collecting materials that capture my interest.  My work encompasses a diverse range of media, including drawing, photography, painting, embroidery, found objects and digital art.

While each medium has unique qualities, I find that none are entirely satisfying in isolation.  Therefore, I combine various media through traditional and contemporary techniques. 

Working with collage and assemblage enables me to give materials a new context and purpose.  I celebrate the beauty and layers of meaning that can be found in the everyday objects that surround us.  In my recent work, I explore the complex history of my family and the intricate relationships that hold it together. Using materials and ephemera belonging to my relatives, I hope to honor and authentically explore their stories. 

My work serves as a vehicle for me to connect with the past, to investigate the struggles and triumphs of those who came before me, and to better understand my own place in the world.
